I'm not tech savvy... how hard is it to conduct a telemedicine visit?
Before your visit, our team will contact you to walk you through all the details. It's not too difficult, but if you don't feel comfortable with technology, we recommend that you have someone close by who can help you with the technical details to make sure your visit runs smoothly.
What kind of device can I use for a telemedicine visit?
For your appointment, you'll need a device with an internet connection. A mobile phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer are all options you can use. If you are joining the meeting using a mobile device, you may need to download the free "Zoom Cloud Meeting" app in order to connect with Dr. Harvey. Will my insurance cover a telemedicine visit?
Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, many insurance companies are paying for telemedicine visits! We currently have confirmation that Medicare, Hill Physicians, United Healthcare, Cigna, & Health Plan of San Joaquin are covering Telemedicine visits. More insurance companies may cover this service: updates from insurance companies have been poring in on a daily basis with more flexibility in telemedicine policies because of shelter-in-place orders related to COVID-19. Please contact our office at 209-823-2700 so we can look up your insurance benefits & let you know!
